Cellular lines in South Korea use cellular prefixes rather than area codes.  These cellular prefixes are always 2-digit numbers beginning with 1. e.g. For a long-distance call within South Korea to a cell phone, dial the preliminary 0, followed by 1x-xxx-xxx.  For calls from abroad to a cellular phone in South Korea, dial the cellular prefix after the country code: 011-82-1x-xxx-xxx.
