Calling Canada Long Distance

Canada is a huge and beautiful country; spanning 6 time zones: Newfoundland Time, Atlantic Time, Eastern Time, Central Time, Mountain Time, and Pacific Time. The whole of Canada participates in Daylight Saving Time.
The country calling code for all regions of Canada is 1. Like the United States, Canada follows the North Canadian Numbering Plan (NANP), so all area codes have 3 digits. Local subscriber numbers have 7 digits. Just as an example, if calling Nova Scotia, you would dial 1, then the 3-digit area code, followed by the 7-digit subscriber number: 1-902-xxx-xxxx.
